Pork Tacos Recipe: Quick, easy and family-friendly


Try out this Pork Tacos recipe for a quick, easy and extra-tasty family dinner!

Using our super succulent pork steaks from our Boxes of Outdoor-Reared Pork, this dinner takes just 35 mins.


Here's all the ingredients you need:

  • 4 pork steaks
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small iceberg lettuce
  • 200g pot of tomato salsa
  • 150ml pot of yogurt
  • 1 large handful of fresh coriander
  • 8 Taco shells, soft or crunchy - your choice!


Some extra fillings for your tacos could also include:

  • Red onion, sliced
  • Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Lime, to squeeze
  • Chilli, finely chopped
  • Avacado, sliced


Directions:

1. Mix the ground spices with the vegetable oil in a bowl. Add the pork slices, coat well and set aside for 10 minutes.

2. Set out the salsa, low fat yogurt, lettuce and coriander into separate bowls, ready to serve.

3. Heat a frying pan to medium hot, with a little butter if you like but don't worry if not, and add the pork - frying for 3-4 mins on each side or until golden brown, just make sure they're cooked through. Set aside, under some foil to keep warm.

4. If using soft tacos, warm them in the microwave for a minute or as per packet instructions. For crunchy tacos, heat in the oven at 180 degrees for 2-3 mins or as per packet instructions.

5. Once cooked, arrange the tacos on a plate and spoon the pork into a serving bowl and make your taco up with extra fillings as you see fit!
