Wild Garlic & Cheese Scone Recipe
Ingredients
- 225 grams of Self Raising Flour
- 50 grams Butter
- 1/4 teaspoon of Baking Powder
- A good pinch of Salt & Pepper
- 30g of chopped Wild Garlic
- 100g of grated cheese. I use Red Leicester
- 1 Free Range Egg
- Milk
Method
Mix together the flour, baking powder, butter, salt & pepper to make a breadcrumb consistency.
Add and mix the chopped garlic and cheese to the flour.
Beat the egg in a separate bowl and then add to the cheese mix and mix again.
Slowly add milk to make a dough consistency.
Flour a work surface and role out the dough, cut out scone shapes.
Place on parchment paper
Pre heat oven to 180c
Bake scones on 180c for 20 mins
You could also add powdered mustard, I didn't and they still tasted amazing.
